Diplo at The Mid

This was a fun one to make.  I wanted to try and match Diplo’s swagger in mashing up disparate styles and putting them together in a slick package.  So I went with a literal take on that idea, and here is Diplo bringing his styles, slung coolly over his shoulder.

Normally when I photochop images together I try to make the fact that they are collaged stand out.  Rarely do I attempt smoother, photorealistic composites (unless of course I’m putting my friend’s heads on other peoples’ bodies), but this poster seemed to call for it.  That being the case, all of the elements came from different original, found photos – the bags, the boxes and crates, the kids, and of course the dog – were all sourced independently.  It took forever to find the right images, but I’m hoping it was worth it in the end.
