Sometimes a tune sounds like it just needs some Mexicali, dune buggy inspiration.
In which case, in the end, it’s best to slap a decal on there.
This track, by the way, is ridiculously good.

Figural work is either my strength or my crutch. Maybe both. Often, when starting a new project, it’s what I go to first.
The brief for Ahmet Sisman’s ‘Dance With the White Rabbit’ was for something a bit more psychedelic than the typical Culprit release. Which made me think of a girl with a rabbit head.
I don’t know how good an idea that really was. The execution of it was maybe just ok, and it’s appropriateness for the actual release was also questionable. So I started tinkering with the background, adding some clouds, flipping them around, and – oh, what’s this? The background resembles a cloud formation in the shape of a rabbit’s face? Hot damn I love happy accidents.
And now none of us have to look at a girl in a bikini with a rabbit head!
While working on the next Culprit release today I was listening to Kerri Chandler’s new RA mix. Great stuff, as sometimes a good dose of deep house is just what the doctor ordered. About halfway in I recognized the squeaks and blips of the next track being mixed in – Lee Foss’s ‘Your Turn Girl’, which I did the album art for back in 2011. Always nice to randomly bump into something from the Culprit family.
I realized it was one of the remixes from a release I also did the artwork for, but never posted here. Well, here it is (nice one Lee!):
PS – I checked Kerri Chandler into a hotel I worked at back in 2002. Nice fellow. So, yeah, I guess, uh, that’s weird, right?
